Get Me?

Get Me?

A Poem by Arly Parent

There's nothing about me
that won't beat you to your knees--
beat you down with kindness
with serenity,
with ease.

There's nothing more about me,
that You yet need to hear.
Those secrets lie in a place that
a wise man would yet fear.

There lurks in the darkness,
in the shadow of the light,
the things that keep us seeing,
tamping down what is bright.

For what could be more painful
than looking in the sun?
looking at the true brightness?
unsullied.
one.

So don't dig too deep
there'll be brightness at the core
you thought the corona was hot
hydrogen breaks here
there is nothing
nothing more

About
There's nothing about me. I play with pauses as well as silence. I write words, assign meanings and junk, and play with a language that might be as much my own as another. I don't know. more..
