Lukewarm

Lukewarm

A Poem by Arly Parent

It's quiet

I sit here in this calm

and the world passes us by

There's nothing

and so we go

shadows in the darkness

cool breezes on the sea

yet doldrums in our cores

nothingness

and so we go

onward onward

and so we go

To brand new lands

and lukewarm waters

mirrors of our souls

we are borne away

taken on a journey

uncaring

finished and disgusted...almost

but not quite

onward onward

and so we go

About
There's nothing about me. I play with pauses as well as silence. I write words, assign meanings and junk, and play with a language that might be as much my own as another. I don't know. more..
