Wild Places

Wild Places

A Poem by Arly Parent

The mind I love must have wild places.

The mind I love must have wild places
places I can run
untamed but with its own natural order

The mind I love must have wild places
and rolling hills
twisting streams of consciousness
and forests for the trees

The mind I love must be beautiful
even its nights
even when the cold of winter's shadows quietly blots out the light

The mind I love must be fluid
always willing to change
and grow along the edges

So one day
I might find a hidden waterfall
and a crystal cave beyond
and just sit & watch the moonrise
and know you
again...for a night*

About
There's nothing about me. I play with pauses as well as silence. I write words, assign meanings and junk, and play with a language that might be as much my own as another. I don't know. more..
