Sometimes I think we poets and writers
are just nerds in this great big club that... well...thinks sorta highly of itself. Not us, though. But the Club, itself. Or maybe Society. We're just a bunch of nerds putting together flowery words, playing with meanings and structures and things as if they mattered as if the world was paper and ink We know, objectively, that they're just words on a page but...we let each other do it we let each other pretend and... we just find acceptance-- a place where we're not so weird when we play make-believe
