Shades of Soot

Shades of Soot

A Poem by Arly Parent
"

I'd written this a long time ago but I've found it disappeared from the site (which is actually pretty worrisome).

"
The ashes turning grey
badges of his rage
burning embers
the cinders light the day
the people mill about
remnants of an age
the inner-lighting darkness
final glimmer of the day
those sirens crying out
clarions on the blade
death knells tolling
for the Earth
for our way
thus Here we are shattered
smashed all into  pieces
victims
all victims
of the Fates
of Lachesis

About
There's nothing about me. I play with pauses as well as silence. I write words, assign meanings and junk, and play with a language that might be as much my own as another. I don't know. more..
