To: The-Girl-I've-Not-Yet-MetA Chapter by Arly Parent
Dear Girl-I've-Not-Yet-Met,
I have written you a lot of poetry over the years and when I get the chance to give them to you, let them spill from the tips of my fingers and lips anew, I will make my message clear. "I do." I'll leave you a bouquet and a box, wrapped and bowed a gift of my thoughts and hopes and dreams of you It will be... as bright as your smile as large as your heart as beautiful as the subtle tones of the flecks of your eyes are to me and... Oh! It will speak. It will tell tales too numerous to recite too personal to say aloud too powerful to be but whispered. It will tell the tale of BoyandManandIdealistandLoverandGentleman, feed you dinner for the soul, draw you a map of my heart and give you GPS coordinates to the place I've been keeping warm for you there... at the corner of Ventricle and Atrium... 2 blocks East of your favorite place to lay your head. It will paint murals of you, construct frescoes and build edifices in your honor, depict my dreams of you in bas relief, placing them next to the most reflective mirror because those things pale, always, in comparison to the truth of you. It will assuage all worries, allay all fears. And you'll know that
despite it all my heart has stayed true always and forever to one person to you
