Life's Journey

Life's Journey

A Poem by Scarlett Thorne
"

Okay, here's a poem I wrote a while ago when life seemed a little dark and the perspective that I had on life was more than a little screwed up.

"

Sometimes life is harsh,
And things never look bright,
But at the end of the tunnel,
There's a briliant white light.

The plan to our lives,
Is never made clear,
Is it trully ourselves,
or our futures we fear?

There is only one thing
That we have left to find,
Peace and tranquility,
For ourselves and mankind.

Can this mess become clear?
Is there a better way out there?
Or are we just living in our own memories?

Forgotten days slip into the haze of our youth,
And then we find ourselves,
Once more pondering the same questions we tried to answer before.
And finally we find ourselves,
Staring down the barrel of life's great gun,
To our future's end.

OBLIVION.

Cool write. It's a difficult subject and something I've also tried a little to write about.

Thanks for sharing.

It's dark, but it's honest and powerful. Artistically, the way you've seperated the lines has crafted a visually pleasing work as well. Great piece. Thanks for sharing it!
