Pen to Paper

Pen to Paper

A Poem by Scarlett Thorne
"

Going through my old diaries spurred me on to write this.

"
Sitting in the dark, pen and paper in hand.
Writing out the reasons, trying to figure where we stand.
Sick of all the chaos, scribbled writing in my head.
Hoping this the pen and paper, soothe my aching heart instead.
Neater lines of chaos, the pen and paper show.
Different ways of seeing the truth we always know...
Different coloured inks depict the workings of my mind.
I'm not too sure of what it is i'm always trying to find.
Words fill many pages, different shades of blue and black.
No matter what they're saying, it's not the truth they lack.
Notes of whispered conversations, and lines from promised lies.
Just more words of accusations, bitter words and tear filled sighs.
So i'll sing my song of sadness, sing the lines the lies helped write.
Please remember one thing darling, you're on your own tonight.
