I Don't Care

I Don't Care

A Poem by Miles

Nothing matters
Nothing at all
And I don't care if you do
And I don't care if you care
Because nothing matters
Nothing at all

I don't care if I'm too tall
I don't care if you're late
I don't care if my shoe's untied
I don't care for your hate

I don't care about dying
I don't care about living
I don't care about smoking
I don't care about choking

I like the way I like my way
And I like the way I do it
I like the shows that care as little as I do
And I hate the ones that don't

I don't care about religion
I don't care about yours
I don't care about drinking water from the sink
I don't care about eating snow

I live my life in utter recklessness
And I hope you do, too
I do the things I do and I like the way I do 'em
And I hope you do, too

I don't care if someone did something
And that someone became famous
I don't care if it was bad thing
I don't care if it was a good thing

I can only digress about how much I don't care
About the way things should be done
Or how they should've been done
Or, especially, how they could've been done.

I don't care for ideas of freedom
I don't care for objective morality
I don't care if someone steals my wallet
And I don't care if you don't bum me a cigarette

I don't care for your care of my apathy
Or my (perceived) practice of it
Existentially, I will do what I feel like doing
And that's just what I'll do
