Gotta Love That Fear

Gotta Love That Fear

A Poem by Miles

Hmm...
Gotta love that fear

Gotta love that triple-tier lock
Blocking your two-story bedroom window
From all the different and unique people
Attempting to have a conversation with you

Aww, yeah.
Gotta love that fear

Gotta love that Fox News
Giving you new ways to hate other cultures
Buying apples in the grocery store
Wearing turbans or wheelchairs

Ooh, yeah.
Always goes good with salt

Gotta love that inability to speak out
And express your own artistic self
Because of all the better people making sure
You're not worth the world's while

Yep.
Gotta love that fear

Gotta love that regretful feeling
Of not racing out
Into the streets and fields
Shouting to the skies
Wondering what happened
To our infinitely capable
And completely selfless humanity

Gotta love that f*****g fear.

"Fear of a name ...something something... fear itself." - Hermione Granger Chamber of Secrets. Other than me not remembering the quote, I like this poem.
