I'm Going Home

I'm Going Home

A Poem by Miles

When everything I thought I had
And everyone I knew
Had disappeared for both these years
I didn't know what to do

A ligament of mine was missing
Think I left it with my friends
All the times we had together
All the s**t we thought were trends

I thought I'd lost it all
And I'd never find my way
Back home

But now the time has come

No more lurking in regret
No more starving on the street
No more trying to survive
With just enough for wheat

No more crying at the bay
Like a long, lost stray
No more dry, stabbing lament
For I've finally found my way
Back home

The time has come
My time has come
It's finally come
I'm going home
