Once Upon A StrangerA Poem by MilesOnce upon a time in Easterland There lived a man with long, white hair He sat and watched and coughed and thought That all of this could easily be shared But noone knows where he goes And noone knows his name Save for those that fell before his feet While he rose from his glorious seat Cast a spell and took them through the skies Shunned the world and said his last goodbyes Once upon a time in Shadowland There lived a man with jet black skin Sleeping on the bathroom wall And drinkin' gin and whiskey and absinthe But noone knows where he goes And noone knows his name Save for those that fell before his feet While he rose from his disgusting seat Cast a spell and took you through the skies Shunned the world and said his last goodbyes Once upon a time in my own land There lived a man without a leg Without a chance to live he hit the streets To see if he could maybe beg But noone knows where he goes And noone knows his name Save for those that fell before his feet While he rose from his metallic seat Cast a spell and took them through the skies Shunned the world and said his last goodbyes Once upon a time in No Man's Land There lived a mut with frayed, red fur It ran around and ate a lot And noone cared and probly never would So noone knows where it goes And noone knows its name Save for those that fell before its teeth While it rose from its flea-ridden seat Took a bite and took them through the streets To his humble bush where he could eat ...In peace
