The Waves of Desperation

The Waves of Desperation

A Poem by Miles

Twisting spires of impatience
Out beyond your comprehension
Stealing help and misdirection
Causing more than slick tension

This is your moonlit tsunami
Out upon the forlorn shore
Spilling all your deathly derision
Making sure we beg for more

Can you hope for a better tomorrow?
When all is lost at sea?
The sharks have turned into lunatics
And we've all lost our lucid key

...These are the waves of desperation
