Back To The Field

Back To The Field

A Poem by Miles

Gravestone
Making slaves
Taking names

No more questions
Take it back
Take it home
Mix it in a bowl
But never overflow

Leave it for the soil
Leave it for the mini-men
Bring me a fat turkey
And trip on your own contradiction

This is when you get a raise
Far from your hallowed days
Back to the town where you were born
Back to the field to till and farm corn
