Dreaming

Dreaming

A Poem by Miles

Another tsunami is coming
Hurry and hold the boats down
Before the blue flowers bloom
And the waters destroy the town

The buildings are almost finished
You can see your future home
But it's all going away
No longer these fields you'll roam

The cannons are in the park
Loaded and aimed at the sky
The festival's about to begin
But they're all going to die

The fountain is overflowing
Too much magic in the air
Approach the red brutes
Tell 'em to stop and share

Be jealous of the faithful peasants
They're worked and believed
They'll be better off in the end
Though they've lived a life berieved

Go back to the golden hill
All the masters are there
The answers are waiting for you still
As long as you never tell where

Everything seems to be at its end
But I can't remember how it got this way
It all doesn't make enough sense
Maybe it's because I'm not awake
