Illegal Immigrant

Illegal Immigrant

A Poem by Miles

Make a beeline for the treeline
Soon as they raise that green sign
Host a shindig in the forest
Plan a date with a florist

Travelin' like a nomad
This ain't a passin' fad
Got my stick and my handkerchief
Polka-dotted like an orphan thief

Need a big boat to cross the ocean
Hitch a ride with Spaniards in the motion
Change my name and hair color
Get a cheap job like any other

Make sand cakes and Easter bobbles
Clean destitutions and posh cobbles
Ride a bike and ride a train
Operate a lawn-mower and maybe a crane

Squeezin' and savin' those little bucks
Food on the table but your life sucks
Drivin' taxis and ice-cream trucks
Co-workers are s***s and stupid f***s
