Never A Fish Will I Fetch

Never A Fish Will I Fetch

A Poem by Miles

Showed once, and what for?
To save, shave, and rave
But forget about a raise

This is your twisted shears we're talking about
Left in the shade
Never known to blister and shout

...Never known to pester and doubt
But here we are in the ice rink
Wallets bluffing
And we're all in stockings

So what's the catch?
Possibly a stretch

But never a fish will I fetch
Not as a fisherman, oh no!
But for blood-curdling revenge
And twice and thrice season's rent

As in, bent
Like a blade that rolls should be
And could be
But the eggs never left the nest

So they say
And so shall they be put to rest

Clever use of words there, and I like the flow. I like the topic, too! Good one, and keep writing!
