Paying Intangible Bills

Paying Intangible Bills

A Poem by Miles

Come, take it off the diamond heap
Quails don't know the difference
Between cheese and paper
Verily, apparently, mistified

Don't get me started on her absence
Judging by silken threads
I'd say the Olive Garden is two miles north of Wendy's
Just beyond your forgotten shoes
And a few Post-It notes

If it's what you want,
There's a bounty on price checks
Seated veraciously, the toll man waits on noone
Tell me the combination
And we'll make sure you get your pumpkin seeds

I accidently cut my juggling vein
When I swore an oath upon the 8-ball
Now I'm leeching dunes and miners

Tonight, there will be potters and dandelions
All with special slack and haste
Fit for a 2-ton fish
No popcorn included

Breathe out any bills you might be shaving
Or raving, in this matter
Rumpling, crumpling scatter
Morose, forbose
Not much patter
