Time To Go

Time To Go

A Poem by Miles

Once again upon the road
The forbidden path to freedom
It's time to let go and breathe a new air
To end this constant wallowing in dispair

It's my time to shine again
Back in the land of light
A prolonged break from sin
A time to set things right

Far away from these sickening ghouls
Greedy, pompous, drunken fools
Foul-mouthed, passive-aggressive tools
With the mistaken belief of immunity

I have no desire to sweat in December
Nor bear the scars of horrifying abuse
There's not much I'd like to remember
Just a lot to let loose

So shall I go and never come back
Never again to this muddy track
Never again
Will my walls be painted black
