Deathbed

Deathbed

A Poem by Miles

Please prepare a swansong
For the unreal and damned
For further shall they be deranged
And yet be filled with dread

For twice the price
Once ridiculed in daze
Traumatic at a gaze
Shall be forgotten in time

The lesson no longer in session
May make me bleed and come forth
And laugh meaningless at the souls of corpses
Fail to become, and before let loose all notice

Why desire suchness?
The question begs more than an answer
But an insight into your despise
Brings more than reprise

Let my mirror moan
As it trembles at the sight of such foul
I am in fear
As much as it is in me

I am bade to forgot
And bath in my rot
As the coffin is built
Leaving me for guilt
