Utopian Dream

Utopian Dream

A Poem by Miles

Far from this moment
Millions of years through the vortex
I see no civilization
No fires or gray areas
No massive eradication

I can see us flying
Long learned and habituated
Once dreamed about casually
Once merely wondered

I can see us laughing
Going off and eating the fruit of glowing trees
Dipping into oceans and catching fish
Conversing in the clouds
Exploring ceaselessly

Sleeping in the meadows
Like the good ol' days
Drinking from the river
Even migrating like birds

Who needs speech when it comes to telepathy?
Or drastic understanding of body language?
Who needs the internet?
Everyone is everywhere

Every scene
Seeming like renaissance paintings
Too beautiful to ignore passively
The Earth now beats any fleeting dream of Heaven

This was my dream
Very vivid and remembered
And it shall be
Hopefully
