A Surreal Stilleto

A Surreal Stilleto

A Poem by Miles

Leave this to me
I'm the one in charge
You know that should be plastic
These coroded rooms are fantastic!

When was the last time you saw a dying worm?
They wouldn't let me in Disneyland
Let alone build castles out of sand
This tape isn't strong enough to keep this flag up

I took it for a reason
Chill, it's not high treason
The xerox scan is scheduled for Tuesday
So bring a mallet and a guitar pick

Enable me to jigsaw this vein!
It's following in your footsteps
Straight from the sea and the blamed arrows
Now is the time for you to give up

Frustrating, maybe
But teeming with excitement
This hollow stitching deserves more than this

Would it be alright if I ignited the secondary core?
Blast! You twitched the wrong switch!
Now we're stuck here forever
And, as a floating head would most definately say,
Upon this bridge there lies a silhouette

Can you tell me which one is yellow and intelligent?
I'm starting to lose my bucket
I could only chug it
But then again, who wouldn't?
On a dark, sunny, stiff afterevening?

I could only quiver
In such a present, raining scatter
Post-It Note this on your window:
We see everything, and we'll be there, always
We guide you miticulously, and swiftly
Just keep thinking it's "Me"

Giant floating eggs in lava!
I can't stay here any longer
These insidious beasts are driving me nuts!
Please don't forget to turn it off when you're done
