New Frontiers

New Frontiers

A Poem by Miles

Foremost upon the sail
Marking heracies and men for bail
Tentatively set on mark of a stately summer
Brisking on in quite slumber

Meandering throughout
A magical enclave, no rusty whereabouts
We don't need your cuts and shouts
The effect is tantamount

I may be an abrasive, as your sighs
I may be an adhesive, as your lies
But never blinding
For faith leads my eye

The belief that something or someone
Or somethings or someones
Will resolve themselves
And take it upon themselves
To rest
As they ravage through this domain

We know why you're here
This is accepted, simply corrected
And we all want you to know
But every time it's something different
Isn't it?

The rolls of this delicacy, so tasty
As are the fleeting harps of celibacy
Such a distinguished falacy
To destroy such a beauty

This is the voice of every nation
The fingers of every breed of watermelon
Gazing from the goggles of the peacock
As it engineers a silky smock-frock

Contagious, I know
It spreads faster than snow
On the winter afternoons of December
Gazing back upon dark November
