The Reality of Life

The Reality of Life

A Poem by Miles

These are all fated days
Foreseen mistakes, destined ways

One-way road to everything
Binary code
Stolen personalities

Easier and easier
To clearly see the future
No choices, will, or option
The path is paved
Your seat is saved

The light grows ever darker
And strays less starker
As the fear slowly fades
And acceptance proudly reigns

Ideas of achievement
Purpose and morality
Blinding, yet assuaging
The reality of life

No more than machines
No more than programs
No more than this
A rise and a fall
A breath and a death
