The Gatekeeper

The Gatekeeper

A Poem by Miles

Your time has come
You have ferried and follied
And boasted about
And we are not pleased

Your time has come
You must leave and forget
Let go and let live
For they are not here with you

Your time has come
Not to remember or desire
Or do or not do
But simply, Be

Your time has come
To invoke and radiate
Essence and vibrations
Emptiness and kinetic

Your time has come
To break breeds and habits
To break free like rabbits
To implode and scatter
In deathly laughter

Your time has come
To give up and give me
The payment I require
For all of life's adventure
Luxury and pleasure

Your time has come
To come together and rejoice
With shades and shadows
And pilgrims of a lone world

Your time has come
To leave us be once more
And your dreams
And your freedom

Your time has come
To suffer and sin
Lose and win
And never, ever find the answer

To why
You keep paying the toll
Only to find yourself once more
As a long, lost soul

Drifting seamlessly
And eternally
Parallel and dynamic
Drastic and enchained
Reanimated and barricated

Beyond and beneath
All that could be
A gifted perception
Where you know
There's always more
Than meets the eye
