Shadow

Shadow

A Poem by Miles

Running away
The truth hard to face
No point taken
In the face of dire despair

Left alone
Always left alone
Dragged away
In fear of change and realization

Death take me
I have no toll to pay
No ghosts to see
No journey to begin
No future to foresee

This is a quiet river
Leave it be
This is a raging river
Leave it be

No doubts to overcome
No confusion to disillusion
No revenge, no remorse
No havens or pagans
No liasons or devils

Lone pire
Set straight and set in stone
Set aside and set afire
The name in flame
And the funeral for hire
