Satan's Daily Activities

A Poem by Miles

One fine, fiery morning
Dear Lucifer awakened

He lamented shortly
On his strange dream
Where the trees had seen him
And let out a scream

He stretched his red legs
Downed a few kegs
Went down to the lake
And almost drowned

Paymon and Shax
Met up with him later
To go to New York
And beat up a skater

With Azazel and Zagan
They found many men wearing bowlers
Changed them all pagan
And gave them guns and magic powers

In the evening, with Paymon and Pyro
He flew to the east
And wreaked havoc in Cairo

Mephistopheles followed him
From the school to the church choir
And laughed as he watched him
Set them all afire

And so Satan returned
To his humble abode
Down by the river Styx
Where the sun's never shone

He had tea with Ivan
Roast mutton with Attila
Shot darts with Stalin
And rapped with Hitla'

Later, there was a show
Down there in Pandemonium
Dimmu Borgir was visiting
And played their Sympozium

After some thrashing and bashing
And churning and burning
The Devil lay down once more
On his inflatable water bed
To dream of happy things
Of war and pain galore

I know that this may or may not have a serious message of religious difference but I must say I laughed the entire way through, your sense of rhyme is perfect and the flow leads the reader by the hand from start to finish, clever and perfect, well done a great read!!
