Alien Perspective

Alien Perspective

A Poem by Miles

The subjects are gathering
Clothed in black cloth and linen
Crying over this grey stone
Speaking deliriously

One thinks there is a being in the fallen stone
Who's spirit had risen
And floated to a different dimension

One thinks it broke through the bottom
And got sucked into a fiery lake
For the rest of eternity

One is just standing there
Saying, "He's not dead."
As if stones have genders and life cycles

We made a mistake coming here
These ones think they know everything
Or that they can predict the future
Or detect heat signatures

Let's go grab a dolphin
Atleast they play laser tag
