Paradox (Pt. 3)

Paradox (Pt. 3)

A Poem by Miles

My infraction proved necessary
Narcissus is more than willing
To compromise and disregard

She is indeed loony
With her drunken stare
And faltering stance

But you see,
I have all my treasures here
Regardless
I am still ready
To escape this thorned nest

Money does not buy love
You coward of all things true
And I shall not give it
'Tis only a tool for you

I feel my freedom
In my heart
And in my stomach
Begging to be relieved

It is my time, now
Goodbye, and good riddens

I must say that this is quite the think tank of poetic indulgence. Portraying Narcissus as a woman is perfectly pleasing in my mind, a daring escape from the norm, well done, a great read.
