Where Do You Go When You Die? (Tribute To Norway)A Poem by MilesFrom Oslo to Vadsø I do love Norway A speck of grass I deem perfect It's fine and finer than that And I will live there Not tight, quite open When you have all that land And only 4.9 million citizens Definately not radical Not when only a twenty-fifth Go to the church That only one twenty-fifth Say they don't belong to Certainly not worried Being the 2nd richest And able to afford $15 a pint It's quite alright When practically everyone's white And there's no hate t'wards the others It's cool to know That Vikings fought and died Many years ago So they could keep worshipping Odin and Asator And run freely on a blessed land For you, maybe not But snow all year long Is more than that for me Where else can you see all four seasons in one picture? Ok, fine, maybe Iceland But still Old Norway came up with faeries and trolls Even Gandalf and dwarves! I have no fear of death in an alley Or a fjord at that For it has the lowest homicide rate And the best standards of living You know that Leif Ericson Came to the America Long before Columbus? Don't worry! They drive on the right Their healthcare is free (sort of) Their education is free (mostly) And everyone has better spellings of English names Along with really cool warrior ones Like Einar, Baldur, Eirik, and Håvard The language will open you up Faster than French, my gals And almost all the guys Are blonde and blue-eyed They ski and walk through the forest As a daily recreation ride There are bike trails and boat sails In everyone's back yard Where do you go when you die? I have no idea! But I do have one I will go to Norway And bask in the Midnight Sun
