Do You Understand?!

Do You Understand?!

A Poem by Miles

When you listened to 40 years of sand
And 3 of metal
There dooms to be some death
Right outside the gate

Regrets and remorse
And regret of remorse
And other paradoxical disagreement

In the end
The real problem is the confusion
But us poets realized this
Moments before our great catharsis

With sickening contempt
Banging from the roof
I want to bring to the attention
My Mother

I inquire about her past
But she forgot her password
The safe in a safe in a safe
Was broken and destroyed
The pieces were scattered
And drenched in alcohol

Her dreams will always point to shadows
And desire a search warrant
But she's deaf, blind, and numb
A paralytic, unparalytic f**k

I, her trainee officer,
Accidently mentioned such a shadow
So she loaded me up with abnormalities
And undesirable drugs

She forgot, but I did not
