Filling The Void With FloydA Poem by MilesMy body wants to shake I don't It bypasses my zen block Completely unbound Possibly survival instinct Fifty-thousand levels deep Rising to the surface Standing to the call I pulled it out of a mirror portal Floating in the air No reflection, just a bottomless pit With a single man at the top Smiling He knows he's coming out, but slower He wears shining gold armor More so glowing And he's sneering! I opened another in the ceiling for him I looked down at me I knew he was saying thanks He knew I knew And then up he flew Now, I can sit straight Every movement is free will Pink Floyd's keeping me awake Those hippies are missing the real message He's tuning into himself And into yourself So he can reign with inception Atleast we'll feel better at our deeper levels Yet more remains to be seen They say standardized But it plays different every year The news is locking you away So they can hold you When you come running back The greatest solo Is one of mixed tempo Mixed genre Unpredictable movement And devastating focus and emotion You'll need a lot of Red Bull If you think you can pull it off While you're still awake Seek to understand The most unnoticed things The stores you don't go into The people you don't say hi to The carpets at the back That you used to go between And laugh and play And shock your little brother or sister With passed electricity Why do kids' songs repeat so manically? To stick deep and consume you And scare you into thinking It's out of your control Imblazened... I stare into an abyss To contemplate the habits of nothingness
