The Shelter

The Shelter

A Poem by Miles

Sad...
Hopeless hopefuls
They don't know why
They will suffer 'til they die

They only think two things
Nourishment and attention
It is their world until, suddenly,
They want out

There will always be pain
They will never be free

Take a look at the small ones
Confused, blocked, defeated, scarred
Look at the kids
They can't stop looking at you
See the moms and dads
They are insane
They are already dead

Whoever did this
Has no regard
For their consciousness

His dreams will remind him of that
