Prince Willy

Prince Willy

A Poem by Miles

Once there was a Prince Willy
And indeed, he was quite silly
With cocoa beans and midgets to spare

He had it in his head
To build a great stead
Where his midgets would frolic and make chocolate

The chocolate was magnificent
And had a great taste
So Prince Willy started a factory--
Post-haste!

The customers came,
And the customers went
While Prince Willy was tending
To his great experiment

He sent out seven tickets of gold
And televised it on the air
Thousands of bars were sold
But to no avail

Suddenly, after many...days
Tickets began to rise
Out of the haze!
Some spoiled, some lucky
Except for poor, old Charlie

He moped about, with no hope
And gave it one last try
To his surprise, he found the golden ticket!
Honestly, and without a lie

The ticket holders lined up at the factory
Where Prince Willy greeted them with praise
He brought them in and filled them with awe
And found that it was worth the craze

Little did they know
Prince Willy was testing them
To see who would show
The greatest potential

Many failed, and were taken away by midgets
Except for poor, old Charlie
Who questioned Prince Willy's fidgets

He revealed he was abandoned
At an early age
And restricted of candy
By a mean, old sage

And so they went
To Willy's father's house
There they reconciled
And brought an end to their joust

Charlie had passed the test
And showed he was the best
He recieved the factory and its riches
Then he laid to rest
