When The Devil Strikes Six

When The Devil Strikes Six

A Poem by Miles

Catharsize, catharsize
Young minds wonder and idolize

Swedish tongues
With Swedish music
I can only discern a fraction
When watching this old film

Anubis has not seen me yet
This, I do admire
A hundred shadows of the same transpire
Wealthy not with feathers
But of realty and rain afire

Postmortem, my eyes will scatter
Hence, they do desire
Sunshade morality
With or without a fire

Cry higher
For fate deems reason
Tooth decay and flatland season

And the handles are ashing ashtray
Healthy diction
Pass morrow and heathen
And the Balkans flow teasing

Why are they laughing?
Again and again
And on and on so hatefully?

I seek to grow
And they drink to stow
But my faded years are over
And there's nothing left to know
