eve and adam.

eve and adam.

A Poem by mikl paul

eve and adam.

mikl paul

she wanted to find them arriving

to become  and to seal the silent

phrasing with the emboss of bone and

    surrender.

   and she came here to

cloud the heart,      seeking something

soft to lean from,      some thing forgives

and the thundering valley sets them free,

and the white flag of her skin,

windkept    and can you hear  her

    hearing   their muffled audience,

as she;    crest of the hill,   (the only silhouette

that is now human) removes fabric  and

lays it down   for   the duskgold  earth.

there must be fuse;    summer,   too deep

   and coming;       some    said    phrase

remembered too long.      they call her beauty

     and he  never         (sureness)   refused

her horizon    yet     to desire to be refused

just to insist   (sureness as she takes her

breasts in hands; sun now set, shadows from

her fingers seek.)        that I "her- am

free      and  you "him- are welcomed    with

(again, hands)  my newest sorrow of

joy    casts into tired light      and lust

to  understand and for love to be curious

again,      from where we woke,     the

first morning    and you were not a stranger.

There is a depth to this one that really caught me. I love the exploration of Adam and Eve and the metaphorical aspects of man and woman. Nicely written
