an affair, with skin and night,

an affair, with skin and night,

A Poem by mikl paul

an affair, with skin and night.

mikl paul

--------

and in their quiet they do not wish to be

found.     stolen light inhale,   no one

watching, no one knowing they should not

know.     her golden hair, his midas hands,

saying I was not followed,     saying I found you

  and you were never lost.

        saying

we only have a moment.    does he know

(no.)        her mouth hurried   as the feast

for the starving, begins.

this corner,   tucked between a flower shop and

an abandoned school,       and she teaches him the

pollen of some silent sadness,   and did it lead

her away or did it lead her toward,     she

may never know yet the night         is cold against

her thighs       and who he is is eclipsed by what

she needs and please show me       how

your eyes flash      when I move     like this

and how long it has been,    since I inspired

fire.        he recognizes the press of her

and he is a rudder      she is lost at

see        how I have found my own way to you.

the night is cold,  shirt opens    but barely.   enough

for his blinding,   with the flurry of pale feathers that

burst from her chest and setting free.

This is really beautiful.. Structure confused me a little, I wasn't sure of exactly how it was to flow however this is truly a great piece, "we only have a moment", I love this, it reflects to me more than just the idea of two lovers in a hurry but how fragile moments really are, gone before we know it, left for us to muse over.. Well done. :)

thank you so much.
wow this has such a sensuality to it...

i see the "first time" here...and she is teaching him how to feel the electricity, the moment, for the first time...and as i was, he is a bit bumbling...but excited by her.

and it makes it more exhilarating because they are consumed within a short time frame and in a place where they may be caught.
