Coalescing Symphony

Coalescing Symphony

A Poem by Mikki Ciezki

 Within myself I retreat.
Deep inside my soul,
where the sweetest melody plays.
Blissfully I dance along,
oblivious to life's horrors.
A slow, gentle theme
relaxing my mind,
numbing my heart.
A hard, angry sound
to release the pain.
Grateful for the internal beat,
I begin to heal.
Music is where I am free.
Music is where I am safe.
Engulfed in every note,
like strong arms of comfort.
Brave enough to delve
into the deepest pits of my soul.
Caverns that are otherwise hidden,
sealed off,
never to be entered.
Through the veins of music I travel,
exploring
searching
discovering
Edens long forgotten, lying in ruins.
Grateful for the internal beat,
I begin to heal.
