Marriage with Divorce

i love you

i want a divorce

I was married

there is a nice dream there

a story

for some, it takes 15 years to see 

that the dream will never happen

she will never be what i need

he will never act like i desire

they wait

and wait

and wait

the next vacation will help

or let's have another child

tears will sour pillows

drinks will numb the pain

the illusion that love is over there 

in their behavior keeps playing

married people make excellent sex partners

like Catholic girls on a Friday night

the dream ends eventually

then you return to where you were before

age 15, or 18

collecting records and trying to figure out how to cook

this is a cool poem, i especially like the waiting that something will happen like a dream come true. a lot of people enter marriage and thought it is a happily ever after, with eyes closed, full of dreams and kaboom one day.., let's end this.
