Superhero HaikuA Poem by Fellow Desperate Writertributes in short verse
Watch Superman fly
across the heavens with ease I wish I could fly Dark, in the night sky Batman is the scourge of crime Look out, crooks, you’re done Now that’s a hero that kid is Captain Marvel By saying SHAZAM! Deadly, sharp, his claws His temper rages, watch out Wolverine heals fast Sticking to the walls Whoa, he’s swinging from a web Look it's Spider-man She’s Wonder Woman with cool bulletproof bracelets and that gold lasso A star on his shield He’s Captain America Go, red, white and blue Incredible Hulk He becomes green and is mean Don’t make him angry In darkest night, or in broad daylight, Green Lantern sees justice is done She may be pretty but Supergirl is tough too she will bust you up Faster than bullets Quicker than thought, the Flash moves Blink and you’ll miss him The City needs Tick He’s nigh-invulnerable and blue is so cool The Fantastic Four Invisible and Stretchy Orange Rock and Fire. A team of Mutants They aren’t all freaks, you see They are the X-Men With smooth graceful flair The Green Arrow hits his mark Snazzy costume, too Under the water Marine-life telepathy Aquaman rules them He’s pretty agile Bet you didn’t know he’s blind He’s called Daredevil He likes playing cards He makes them explode you know cool coat, he’s Gambit © 2014 Fellow Desperate WriterReviews
