I Hate Myself

I Hate Myself

A Poem by Mike Poe Potter Cot
"

.......

"

If to break my heart would make you content,

I wouldn’t want anything else.

My soul is for sale and my mind is for rent.

The truth is I do hate myself.

wow what a strong piece. something i can relate to. it's very simple, yet speaks volumes. i especially loved the first line. seems there are people who take pride in breaking hearts, & those who have lost self-respect/love or those of us who have never had it, are always getting taken to the cleaners. but my absolutely favorite line is:
"My soul is for sale and my mind is for rent". & no grammatical errors jumped out at me. wonderful write.

Wow, I'm crushed. What a powerful poem - so short and simple, yet so deep and makes one think. I can relate to it - just wanting the other person to be happy even if it means you won't be. Heartbreaking and true. You did an excellent job on this.
