A Poem by Larry Johnson
"

if you love something set it free, if its truly yours it will return to you, if it doesnt it wasn't truly yours to begin with.

"

I could pin you down like a wrestler or hold you captive like a slave I could hold you clasped tightly between the palms of my hands like a fire fly but I chose to set you free. I could hold you tightly like a shepherd cradles a newborn lam I could cage you up and clip your wings so you’d stay were I am or I could bind you up like a spiders web with my words so grand but instead I chose to set you free. Free like the oceans that come back with the tide free like the stars that give light every night yes my love I unleash your chains I open your cage I open my hands heavenward towards the sky and I set you free, free, free.
