What causes boils? As stated beforehand, this skin condition is caused by the bacteria called staphylococci that thrives within the skin. Migration of the bacteria would begin in the hair follicles, leading to a soreness. Increase in the danger of having a boil involve excessive weight, lack of nutrition and the intake of specific drugs. Recurring or persisting boils are caused by antibiotics, being diabetic, anemia or genetic make-up.

Keep in mind that a great personal hygiene is the most reliable weapon against the spreading of boils; always keep your hand clean by washing them with antibacterial soap and water so that you will not be able to spread it into the other parts of your body through scratching or itching.
