Talk to me

Talk to me

A Poem by mikedohsays
"

To be free one must attempt to be honest

"

Talk to me

Words escape

Untruths emit

With hollow blows

No doubt

The righteous pout

Strikes a pose

But how ridiculous

To espouse

With warm clinging air

That black is white

When the ring of truth

Is like a puff of air

Pull back

Sew lips together

And avoid contamination

Focus first on the clean

The new born

That first cry for life

Expose the sly

Contaminated links to hate

And breathe with dignity

Speak well

For honest words

Make life easy

Good poem Mike. I like it. Judicious choice of words.
And I totally agree with you that one must always be honest, whether they mean it or not.
(just kidding, of course)
