EncounterA Poem by mikedohsaysA poem about identity and egoEncounter
You
don’t look like your poems, she said So
I looked her in the eye For

a visual embrace Both
evaluating a potential loss of face Until
a man with a tray of canapés Came
between us quite efficiently And
the moment, thank God, was lost © 2014 mikedohsaysAuthor's Note
