ConsciouslyA Poem by Mike Defreitas
1
Floating neurons - in my head Dancing towards the potion; Those neurochemical badboys Making so much commotion In my head - rush they rush Towards their place, the place, their stead. They sizzle and seize the sides, the temporal lobes Inside my mind: entranced inside it's eyes Can hardly see the wish inside Pffffff, the mind elides, the neurons chug along in stride Arising - per due - per alas this is how it do How it evolved to be: I, sufferer, an emergent....property? 2 Neurons, words, things, I denote with a name Standing for things, cells, that send information In the form of electric motion, a mind arises - subjective inside? Yet conformed, constrained, shaped by the vagaries of time Feedback loops, energy in, stock, energy out - the stock, traced out in motion Emerging mind, consciousness, wakes up inside, to life: what happened? Things gone wrong, wrong, the apparition of time, projecting back from the past Poking in, as referent, the groups - the neurons - forming you, they ain't coming back Splish, splash, that's just the way it is. The past and the present, back and forth, One way forward, the past in the present, the present, projected by me - into future 3 Anguished, forsaken, by life, by reality, by whom? No one. Nothing is there I'm here, looking there, at life, wondering, how can I move forward? Nothing, forward, move forward, integrate, know, accept, and make nothing Join in; heart forward; with love, with compassion, with peace, with gnosis Drop into the pool of it, of life, of everything, the watery depths, concealing and concealed By the love for life, for meaning, for reality, for consciousness, for you, for me, Sit still and hear the essence - feel it rumbling, stirring, buzzing, stilling What is it? That center about which turns, the mystery - of my mind - my knowing? I live out the struggle between opposites; suffered, suffering, yet beholden to the meaning: Try - Live out the meaning...Discover the knowledge: eat it up, the world, and be it, consciously © 2015 Mike Defreitas |
