Maple leaves and hockey

Maple leaves and hockey

A Poem by mikeccc
"

a poem about Canada. Which i know very little about

"
When i think of Canada
I think of maple leaves and syrup
frosty weather
perfect for hockey

I'm reminded of my own ancestors
who hail from there

in my minds eye i see Mounties
who always get there man

i hear there nice up there
but that things are too dam expensive

I believe there are caribou as well
which is cool

I like Canada. You buy gas by the liter, which is confusing to a Texan. You also drive in kilometers, not mph. But Canada itself is a beautiful place. They have their own country music. Most of it never gets heard in the US. It's pretty good stuff.
Loved the poem, and yes, I believe there are caribou.
