Fire Bomb

Fire Bomb

A Poem by Michael Howell
"

WARNING: F Bomb in this. Clever, huh? ;)

"

I see purple

eyes

on someone else

and immediately

napalm sprays over my chest

My heart's on fire and

my lungs have popped and

every single rib seems to have melted

and the only thing I can think is

oh, if only she could see me now

The fire eventually dies, but it leaves

a little less tissue and

a little less bone and a little

more burn each time

I breathe deep

trying to excersize my chest

so I can breathe again and

think back to her purple eyes.

Did she see the blue in mine after I left?

Does she remember that my eyes

were blue

at all?

What the f**k goes through her head

when she kisses her?

She can't see the blue

in her eyes too

I look up at the moon

and my blue

eyes reach for the sky

I swear I can feel her

lips on mine, and her

spark in me, and her

skin and her breasts and her

love exposed and rubbing my chest

layering it with waves and waves

of napalm

I hope she finds blue

in her girlfriend's eyes

And if not there

someone else's.  Because

she has the napalm and she can

barrage me whenever she wants and

maybe she can forget about me

and drown in another,

more subtle,

blue
