Rain Water

Rain Water

A Poem by Michael Howell

As the myths of the world fade away

as water washes away rock and sand

Your eyes flush and search my soul

for answers

So why can’t I tell you all that’s in

my heart?

Do chains hold my jaw shut?

Are my hands

bound behind my back?

Like rain water, blurring mental images

in your eyes, I can’t tell you

all I need to. My hands are

bound.

It’s because of her.

As I Wish! I love this, it's beautiful and very powerful. It has a lot of the similar feelings I have felt before. Good job! Keep up with the writing, even at college. :) I love you man and miss you already! Good luck!
