Purple and White

Purple and White

A Poem by Michael Howell
"

Original Lyrics

"
You're coming here to kill her
I can see it in your eyes.
The one thing I have loved
is the one thing you despise.

You say this isn't real,
well who are you to say?
She's the one thing I can feel
and I'll push you all away.

There's one thing I have learned
I can't live without, and it's you.
With you, I am not alone
I'll fight, I'll try
To burn down these white walls
and show the world
that love is always real.

They say that you're not real,
a figment of my brain,
but how can that be possible?
I wasn't whole until you came.

They say I dreamed you up
to cope with all the pain,
but the sad thing is I don't care
if your ghost will scream your name

There's one thing I have learned
I can't live without, and it's you.
With you, I am not alone
I'll fight, I'll try
To burn down these white walls
and show the world
that love is always real.

If it's in your heart,
or in my head,
what's the difference?

There's one thing I have learned
I can't live without, and it's you.
With you, I am not alone
I'll fight, I'll try
To burn down these white walls
and show the world
that love is always real.
